Frequently Asked Questions

What is PRSSA?

PRSSA is a pre-professional organization for college students who are interested in public relations. More than 10,000 students and advisers make up more than 300 chapters in universities across the nation. We are led by a national committee comprised of students from different chapters. The Public Relations Society of America is for professionals and is considered our "parent" organization. Locally, the UW Oshkosh Chapter is sponsored by the Northeast Wisconsin PRSA chapter.

Meetings will be Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Journalism Reading Room (Clow 152). Some meetings may take place in one of the labs, but in that case you will be notified beforehand.

If you are unable to make every meeting, don’t worry! We’ll let you know what’s going on at each of the meetings so you can plan for the workshops and speakers you want to attend. Agency tours will most likely occur on Fridays.
